Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (2017) User Manual PDF
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 2017, true to form, will be one hell of a handset and the most recent rumours suggest Samsung will outfit the handset with a 4K display in order to maximise the Note 8’s VR capabilities. Samsung has also revised and updated its S-Pen stylus as well but potentially the biggest new addition to the handset – and Samsung’s phone ecosystem at large – is the company’s new AI technology, known as Bixby.
Galaxy Note 8 Specs
Other updates will likely include a refresh to the design, as the build of the handset is said to be one of the factors that contributed to issues with Galaxy Note 7, a bump in processing power, new dual-camera technology and likely more RAM.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Camera
The Note 8’s predecessors are widely recognised as some of the best tablet smartphones for photography on the market, and we fully expect Samsung’s new flagship to deliver once again. Both the Note 8 and Note 8+ are expected to use a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. That’s not much of a change from the S7, which uses a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
Samsung Note 8 Memory
In terms of core Note 8 hardware we know that the Note series is traditionally a slightly more powerful version of the S series that is released earlier that year, though the Galaxy S8 is already a hugely powerful phone. The S8 comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and 4GB of RAM. Expect the Note 8 to come with a minimum 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Battery
Recent Samsung conferences have kicked off with apologies for the disastrous Note 7, and the Galaxy Note 8 launch will almost certainly begin in the same manner. The handset’s numerous battery issues were completely unacceptable, but the jokes are dead,It’s likely to be under 8mm thick, waterproof, and feature dual cameras and a high-capacity (circa-3500mAh) battery with adaptive fast charging, fast wireless charging and USB-C support.
Note 8 Audio
Samsung has announced that it will be acquiring car audio maker Harman for $8bn with its eyes firmly on the connected car market. However, the brand is best known by consumers for its Harman Kardon audio label, which could spell very nice things for the upcoming Galaxy Note 8, as it has for the Galaxy S8.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Waterproof
It’s also expected to run the latest version of Android Nougat, and feature IP68 dust- and water-resistance, expandable storage through a microSD port and a security-focused iris scanner. Samsung has openly mocked Apple’s controversial decision to drop the headphone jack from the iPhone 7, it seems safe to assume that the S8 will offer the familiar audio connection.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Release Date 2017
Galaxy Note 8 release date, news and rumors, believe it or not, there'll be a Samsung Galaxy Note 8, and it's coming this year, despite all of the Note 7 failures. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 release date is August 2017 (News)
Galaxy Note 8 Features
Bixby was developed by the creators of Siri, a company called Viv Labs. Do not be fooled by the connection, however, as reports suggest Bixby will be A LOT more advanced than Siri. Samsung Note 8 Bixby is answer to Amazon’s Alexa and Google’s Assistant, which are two of the smartest digital assistants on the planet right now.
Samsung has decided to ditch the home button, and the company’s branding will only feature on the back panel. The logo will sit below the the rear camera and potentially problematically placed fingerprint scanner. It appears to be positioned abnormally high up on the phone’s rear panel, potentially making it uncomfortable to reach, especially for users with small hands. Its off-centre placement – to the right of the camera sensor – could also favour right-handed users more than left-handed users.
One of the Note 8’s most features is Bixby, a new multilingual AI assistant said to be capable of recognising text and real-world objects through the Samsung Note 8 camera and tracking them down online, allowing users to make quick purchases.

It will run Android 7.0 Nougat, with an update to Android O within a few months of its release. Samsung’s usual sensors - the heart-rate scanner, fingerprint scanner and iris scanner - should all be present, though with the fingerprint scanner now moved to the rear and the home button gone entirely.
